Our Foundation site operates from a bungalow set on the grounds of the Kingswood Foundation Estate. The Estate is an urban oasis of green space perfect for the children to explore.
We are lucky to have our own private woodland area at our Potterswood site which both our nurseries use for their Forest School sessions.
Both our sites house separate baby facilities. In this warm environment our staff care for up our babies aged six weeks to two years old. Ensuring we give the babies individual attention, support, stimulation, fun, lots of love and experiences is of utmost importance to us. An adult ratio of 1:3 enables each baby’s individual routine to be carefully followed. Our separate homely sleep room, connected by a baby monitor, allows the babies to sleep in safety and undisturbed.
The Toddler Room has a ratio of 1:4. There can be a maximum of 6 Toddlers in this room at one time with two practitioners.
This room offers variety of stimulating resources for Toddlers to access independently.
We encourage children to make their own choices, select resources they are interested in and are keen to play with and explore. This encourages children to make their own choices, developing a can do attitude whilst building confidence and independence. Invitations to play are set out in this room to spark children’s curiosity.
Pre School Room
Our group of sixteen pre school children aged 2.5 – 5 years enjoy an exciting day filled with endless fun, provacations and learning opportunities through play. Our Staff promote each child’s confidence and self esteem to equip them with the skills needed to become competent learners. The children enjoy an adult ratio of 1:8 in this room.
We view the garden as an outdoor classroom where a huge amount of learning takes place. The children have access to the garden throughout the day with our free flow system. Even in the rain and snow they enjoy some invaluable learning experiences.
We have a large grass area that provides an array of open ended learning opportunities such as den building, balancing and digging in the mud kitchen and construction areas. An artificial turfed area offers opportunities for sand and water play. We provide lots of educational opportunities and experiences and there is a bug hotel for the more adventurous ones! Designated planting areas enable the children to grow and tend to plants and vegetable crops.
All of our nutritious meals are cooked onsite by our cook Jo. Our two course lunch and snack tea are planned on a four week rotational basis with any dietary requirements catered for. The cost of food is included in our session prices but is charged separately once a child is in receipt of Nursery Education Grant Funding. Please see our pricing page for more information. Food charges can be avoided by providing your child with a packed lunch/tea in line with our food from home guidance.
Our teams are passionate about providing high quality childcare and education and are proud to be part of shaping each child’s future.Book a visit
