All staff receive on-going training in many areas including First Aid, Special Needs, Pre-school curriculum and planning, behaviour management etc and attend conferences and training days to update their childcare knowledge. Each child who attends nursery is allocated a member of staff, known as their "key worker", with whom they can build a good relationship. This will allow the A child to be assessed by the same person each time and their needs catered for accordingly.
Hillside Day Nursery follows the local authorities guidelines on Child Protection Procedures.
A nominated person at each setting is responsible for Safeguarding issues.
